i.Poverty alleviation : It runs a cow fattening project in the District of Faridpur at Mirdha Kanda Village. About 25 poor families are getting benefit from this project.

ii.Interest-free loan : It has been providing interest free loan to extreme poor families in the village of Daiyar Par, Upazila in village Tazumuddin in the District of Bhola. About 30, families are getting benefit from this project.

iii.Preventing Environment Pollution: BPDM has been working with the Department of Environment, Govt. of Bangladesh. Every year it participates in the rally, seminar and fair on international environment day on 5 June, every year organised by Department of Environment, Govt. of Bangladesh. Besides it organises seminars and conferences in different schools and colleges in Dhaka and Faridpur for creating awareness about environment pollution and plantation.

iv.Drug-free society : It has been working for drug-free society. It organises seminar, conference and cultural programs in schools and colleges for making the society free from drugs. During 2009 it organised 20 programs in Dhaka, Faridpur and Bhola. It also works with Department of Narcotics Control, Ministry of Home Affairs. It observes International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26 June every year.

v.Tobacco-free Bangladesh: BPDM has been working  for Tobacco-Free Bangladesh. Under this purview it organises seminars in schools and colleges and campaigns at different public places. With cooperation from the authority it has made tobacco free campus at Ananda Mahan Govt. College, Mymensingh, Govt. Titumir College, Mahakhali, Dhaka, Govt. Shreebordi College, Shreebordi, Sherpur. Every year it observes international no-tobacco day on 31 May.

vi.Training for Unemployed youths : It organises training program for educated youths on research methodology for  self employment. It has organised 4-week training program for 40 educated unemployed youths during the period from I - 30 January, 2006 at Govt. Titumir College auditorium, Dhaka.

vii.Training for Unemployed poor women and widows : BPDM organises a training program for poor women and widows for a period of three months on dress making at its office House # 19, Road # 30, Rupnagar, Pallabi, Mirpur, Dhaka. So far 200 women have received training from BPDM on dress making. It also ran same type of training program at Govt. Titumir College, Mohakhali, Dhaka for poor female students. About 250 girls received training under this program and become  part time self-employed and were able to bear their educational expenses and partly their family expenses.

viii.Beggars’ Survey : BPDM has conducted a survey on beggars in Dhaka Metropolitan City in 2006. On the basis of this it organised a seminar on “How to solve beggars problem in Bangladesh” at VIP lounge of Press Club, Dhaka on August 10, 2006.

ix.Research Works : BPDM conducts research on different socio-economic and educational issues. In year 2009-2010 it is conducting research on the following issues under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of Bangladesh: (a) Peace Education : A Study on Bangladesh. (b) Identification of Effective Factors Responsive for Low Performance of slow readers at Secondary Level in Bangladesh. (c) A Study on the Problem of Drop-out : A Case Study on Some Selected High Schools. (d) A Case Study on the Problems of Household Workers in Dhaka Metropolitan Areas. (e) A Case Study on Educational Problems of Socially Excluded People in Bangladesh.

x.Education for disadvantaged children : BPDM runs educational programs for disadvantaged children (street child, household workers) at Mohakhali, Dhaka and Pukhuria, Bhanga, Faridpur. It bears all

expenses of education and medical care. It also provides dress, refreshment and rich food twice in a month.

xi.Peace education campaign : BPDM has been campaigning peace education for peace keeping and building at 5 high schools in Sadarpur and Bhanga Upazila under Faridpur District and 5 high schools at Rangamati District. The goal of this project is to ensure cent percent retention rate, introduction of inclusive education and to develop friendship of fast readers with slow readers.

xii.Micro credit for poverty alleviation : BPDM runs micro credit programs by its four centers in the district of Faridpur and Dhaka. It gives loans at a very low rate of interest to poor people on group basis and helps them to improve their productivity.

xii.Advocacy Programs : BPDM runs advocacy programs on peace building and peace keeping at individual, family, society, nature and national level in the districts of Faridpur, Bhola and Rangamati. It conducts this advocacy at social, religious and educational institutions
