Closing Ceremony of the month-long 4th Advanced Training Course on Research Methodology organised by Bangladesh Peace and Development Mission (BPDM) with active co-operation of National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM),  Ministry  of  Education  was  held on  24 November,  2011 at 5 p.m. at the NAEM auditorium. Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam, Secretary, Ministry of Planning was present as the Chief Guest at the function. Prof. Dr. Md. Azizur Rahman, Director General (incharge), NAEM presided over the function. Dr. Abdur Rahim Khan, Director, SSRC, Ministry of Planning was present as special guest. Prof. Luthfor Rahman, General Secretary, BPDM made the welcome address. 120 participants from different professions received the training. Out of them 29 were females while 91 were males. The participants expressed the view that the training would contribute to the creation of new researchers. Moreover it would go a long way in the development of excellence, creativity, productivity and innovative capability of the participants. They requested the organizers to continue the training programme in the future.

The Planning Secretary in his address remarked, research is the key to development.  Research generate new knowledge. Research facilitates enhancement of capabilities of man. Dr. Azizur Rahman said, we developed a model (MICAII) under Action Research TQI-SEP of Ministry of Education.  It may largely help the slow learners to bring in mainstream. He mentioned that Motivation, Inspiration, Co-operation, Appreciation, Incentive and Intervention abridged form of MICAII would help researchers and national development simultaneously. The chief guest distributed certificates among the trainees.  He also gave away prizes to Ist, 2nd and 3rd place holders.
